The Academy of Canadian Executive Nurses represents the voice of nursing leadership in Canada. Founded over thirty years ago, ACEN was created as a network of chief nursing officers of major teaching hospitals and deans and directors of Schools of nursing.
ACEN long provided a forum for discussion of mutual challenges and a source of support to nurse executives in dealing with unique challenges.

Think Tank: Toward a National Report Card for Nursing
The Think Tank: Toward a National Report Card for Nursing held in Montreal, Quebec on February 13, 2011 brought together approximately 50 nurse leaders in health services delivery from each region of the country, as well as thought leaders from other key sectors: research, education, professional associations, informatics, regulatory bodies and federal/provincial/territorial nurse advisers.
